Water Conservation

Our Water

Grenada’s water comes from rain, and rain is not evenly spread across the year. What you do at home makes a real difference to what’s there in the dry season.

Find your leaks first

Before changing any habits, check for leaks. A tap dripping once a second wastes about five gallons a day, and you are billed for every drop past the meter.

IN THE DRY SEASON

In the dry season

From roughly January to May there is simply less water in the rivers, and we manage the shortfall by regulating flow across the network. Some areas will see lower pressure or scheduled interruptions.

Store drinking water in clean, covered containers when supply is on.

Keep an eye on service updates for restrictions in your area.

Hold off on non-essential outdoor use - car washing, topping up pools, hosing down yards.

Seeing water running in the road?

Water running in the road is treated water going to waste. Tell us where it is and we will get someone out.
