Getting water connected at a property for the first time. Here’s what you’ll need, and how to apply.

A new connection is for a property that has never had water service. If water was connected here before and has since been cut off, what you need is a reconnection - get in touch and we'll sort it out.

What you'll need

Applying in Grenada, Carriacou or Petite Martinique

  • One valid photo ID - National ID, passport or driver's licence.
  • A completed application form.
  • Proof that you own the property, or that you're authorised to occupy the land. A Deed of Conveyance or a Statutory Declaration.
  • A completed Responsibility Agreement form, if you're not the owner but you'll be responsible for the charges on the property.

Two situations that need extra documents

If the water lines have to run across land belonging to someone else, you'll need written permission from that owner. It has to be notarised, and it has to come with a copy of their photo ID.

If the land belongs to the Government of Grenada, you'll need a letter from the Ministry of Agriculture, Lands and Survey confirming the lease agreement and its terms.

We ask for these documents to protect you and the property owner. If something is missing, it will hold your application up.

Applying from overseas

You don't have to be in Grenada to apply

Download the form, fill it in, and email it to us with your supporting documents. Find the situation that matches you.

Send the completed form, a copy of your ownership document – title deed or conveyance, letter of administration, will, probate, or statutory declaration – and a copy of your photo ID.
Send a letter from the owner authorising you to apply, a copy of the ownership document, a copy of the owner’s photo ID, and a copy of your own. You sign the form.
You complete, sign and stamp the form yourself, and send it with a copy of the contract or a letter from the contractor. Because you’re not the owner, a security deposit of EC$340 applies. We refund it once the project is finished and the account transfers into the owner’s name.
Send the completed form with the supporting documents listed on it, and a copy of your photo ID.

Terms and conditions

A few things worth knowing before you apply.

  • Property boundary marks must be in place before we install a service connection.
  • It is illegal to connect any pipe before the meter. Under the National Water and Sewerage Authority Act, that is a criminal matter.
  • We look after the pipes and fittings up to the meter. From the meter to your property, that's yours to maintain.
  • If you change your mind after paying, a 10% cancellation fee applies to the refund.
  • If a bill goes 30 days past its due date, the service becomes liable for disconnection.
  • If a landlord wants a tenant's name or mailing address added to an account, or taken off it, the request must come in writing from the landlord and be signed.
