Rates & Charges

Billing & Payments

What you pay for water and sewerage service in Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.

WHERE RATES COME FROM

Our rates are set by regulation, not by us

Our rates are set out in the Water and Sewerage Rates and Charges Regulations. They are made under the National Water and Sewerage Authority Act, approved by the Minister, and published in the Gazette. We do not set them on our own and they do not change quietly.

HOW YOUR BILL IS BUILT

How your monthly charge is made up

Two things make up what you pay for water each month.

The variable rate is what you pay for what you use. It is charged per 1,000 gallons.

The fixed monthly charge covers the routine maintenance of the plants, pumps and equipment that get water to you, whether you used a lot that month or none at all. It is worked out from your average monthly consumption over the previous year.

If your property is connected to a sewer, a sewerage rate is added on top.

All bills are worked out in imperial gallons. If your meter reads in cubic metres we convert first, at 220 imperial gallons to the cubic metre.
