“25 years of committed service the nation” was the theme under which NAWASA celebrated its 25th Anniversary. The Authority was born on November 25, 1990 when Parliament voted in favour of a name change from what was then the Central Water Commission (CWC).

2015 marked another successful year for NAWASA’s Christmas Food Hamper Distribution Promotion, in which a total of 30 residents in the tri-island state benefitted. It was the 12th year in which the Authority touched the lives of many families.

Press Release - NAWASA nominated for Global Water Leader Award

The National Water and Sewerage Authority (NAWASA) had its name sounded on the international market as Grenada was the only country in the region to be nominated for the Global Water Leaders Award. The global water leader award looks at dramatic performance improvement in a water utility in the developing world. At the center of this achievement was the NAWASA Water Warz Secondary School’s Quiz Competition.

Rain Water Harvesting System for St. Andrew Residents - Press Release

The National Water and Sewerage Authority (NAWASA) and the German Agency for International Co-operation (GIZ) are the driving forces behind the project which is estimated to the tune of EC $300,000.
